You know when you hear a band and you think: “Why don’t I know about this band already?”. I heard Wilco a couple of months ago and thought exactly that. They are now my current favourite band. Here’s a picture of them:


I listened to them constantly for about a month before googling them. When I did google them I learned they had played in Glasgow a fortnight earlier.

“A Ghost is Born” and “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot” are instantly loveable albums. Normally live albums are a kind of interesting snapshot for fans, but their live album “Kicking Television” is absolutely brilliant.

I’m not in the business of providing long lists of links to their tracks on Spotify or YouTube and there’s probably not much more I can say about them that what’s already out there. So, check them out yourself. If you’re disappointed, I’ll come round and cook you dinner or something to make up for it.
